worked in both the public and private sector.

He has past community experience as president of the Elora Chamber of Commerce,
president of the Fergus Elora Big Brothers, a member of Elora Council and a committee
member of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors.

Alexandra, Derek’s former fiancée (47 years ago) and Derek enjoy their small farm operation
and are members of the Elora Salem Horticultural Society.
